Exploring mirror symmetry
A mirror line divides a picture into reflected halves. Corresponding marks sit the same distance from that line.

Worked example
A dot one square left of the center line belongs one square right in the reflected half, at the same height.
Try it step by step
- Mirror Picture
Complete the right side as a reflection of the left.
- Symmetry Butterfly
Decorate both wings with matching reflected marks.
- Tangram
Move and rotate seven pieces to cover the silhouette without overlaps.
A useful hint
Reflection reverses left and right. Copying the same left-to-right order can produce a translation instead of a mirror image.
Simple activities, gentle encouragement, and room to explore at your own pace. Big buttons and simple controls on phones, tablets, and computers.
